When an invalid address is used in an email, the target mail server bounces
that message back to the sender with a "no such address" error.
Why can't server-level user filters be implemented such that users could
configure their mail account to reject unwanted messages with a "no such
address" error?
As it is the spammers can be confident of a valid email address when they
don't get a bounced message. Why are we not bouncing spam rather than just
trashing it?

Thanks.
