badmailfrom does not stop spam

Our qmail box always received a tone of email to invalidaccount@myhost
everyday.
Therefor, I put all sender address to badmailfrom file and put it at
/var/qmail/control.
BUT, our qmail box still received all email from an address registered
at badmailfrom.
How to check that badmailfrom working fine ?
Also, should qmail to be restarted after badmailfrom added ?

Are those email addresses taken from the "mail from" or from the header's
"from" line?
You'll have to use those addresses from the "mail from".
You could try sending a mail manually to your qmail box and to enter one of
the blocked addresses in the "mail from:" -> qmail should answer with some
error message (at least befor the data command).
The changes will be used immediately with next smtp connection.
