hi all,
I trying to run qmail according to Life With qmail instructions.

qmailctl stat shows:
/service/qmail-send: up (pid 1151) 169 seconds
/service/qmail-send/log: up (pid 414) 1831 seconds
/service/qmail-smtpd: up (pid 1154) 169 seconds
/service/qmail-smtpd/log: up (pid 419) 1831 seconds
/service/qmail-pop3d: up (pid 1157) 169 seconds
/service/qmail-pop3d/log: up (pid 423) 1831 seconds
messages in queue: 1
messages in queue but not yet preprocessed: 0

I'm alway getting an error with readproctitle, ps is showing:
root 409 0.0 0.5 1236 252 ? S 22:41 0:00
readproctitle service errors: ...............

However qmail is working correctly: can send and receive mail
correctly.

But how can i take out this readproctile error ?

Many thanx in advance.

I'm giving you more details about the readproctitle error I have:

1) qmailctl stat shows services are correctly running
2) ps shows a readproctitle service error (only dots)
3) stopping qmail then running svscan from shell shows the following errors:
supervise: fatal: unable to acquire log/supervise/lock: temporary failure
supervise: fatal: unable to acquire qmail-send/supervise/lock: temporary
failure
supervise: fatal: unable to acquire log/supervise/lock: temporary failure
supervise: fatal: unable to acquire qmail-smtpd/supervise/lock: temporary
failure
supervise: fatal: unable to acquire log/supervise/lock: temporary failure
supervise: fatal: unable to acquire qmail-pop3d/supervise/lock: temporary
failure
supervise: fatal: unable to acquire log/supervise/lock: temporary failure
4) I checked the links in /service and they are corrects

Any suggestion or idea ?

Thank you.

Good.

Good. That's not an error message.

Oops. Don't do that. Stopping qmail doesn't stop svscan.
