I can't seem to get javac to work
Here is what I have done and my version info:

'javac' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
C:\Sun\SDK\jdk\bin\coreJavaBook\corejava8\v1ch02\Welcome>java -version
java version "1.6.0_13"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_13-b03)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 11.3-b02, mixed mode, sharing)
any insight would be welcome

I found the problem. My command path was wrong

Put your javac to windows PATH variable.
