I have some questions pertaining to Delphi 1.0 and the BDE. In all
cases, Delphi 1.0 co-exists with Paradox for Windows 5.0.

1. Is there a way for a Delphi application to use its own IDAPI
configuration file? I know each Paradox application can use its
own IDAPI with the Windows icon command line '-o [idapi.cfg]'.
This feature doesn't seem to be available for Delphi 1.0.

I'm trying to roll out a Delphi application to some users' PCs.
All of them have a number of Paradox applications on their desktops
already.

2. Can a Delphi and Paradox application both connect to Oracle
simultaneously? I've tried and I get General Protection Faults.
They access the Oracle server using SQL Links 2.5, I believe.
I think the Oracle version is 7.1.4.

3. Can someone recommend the easiest way to roll out ReportSmith 2.5.2
reports? The way it's set up right now, ReportSmith run-time will be
set up on a network drive along with the reports. rs_run.ini and
rptsmith.con will be pushed out to each user's PC using LAN Desk.

Some users will already have a ReportSmith run-time on their PCs, but
it may not be 2.5.2 (2.5.1 doesn't seem to open 2.5.2 reports!) and
it certainly won't have the connection to the report tables. The
concern of pushing rptsmith.con to each user's c:\windows directory
is it will wipe out their existing connections.

Thanks.
