Description: Job Title: Business Analyst (E1 Finance Functional Analyst) Location: Carlsbad, CA Duration: 4 months (approx) Note: Looking only for candidates who can work on W2. Duties: Role Description · The successful candidate is an organized, hands on and proactive quick learner with the proven ability to drive timelines and demonstrate expertise and skills at a detailed with a strong ability to positively influence others, including global cross functional teams at all levels, to accomplish objectives in addressing a high volume of complex problem solving, support and enhancement/project requests. · Must be able to lead, multi-task and work effectively in a fast paced, high stress work environment. Responsibilities may include: · Serving as a senior functional liaison to the Global Finance and global cross functional user community. Proactively providing a partnership and support by acting in an experienced IT functional capacity · Providing front line support to users and colleagues on complex IT functional issues. Demonstrating an ability to adapt and drive timely, efficient and effective direction, guidance, oversight, resolutions and solutions, as needed, for important initiatives including, but not limited to, month/quarter/year-end close and other ad hoc support, enhancement and project requests. · Proactively identifying, solutioning, facilitating, implementing mechanisms and taking steps to driving business/IT process excellence/improvements/reengineering activities where beneficial to implement efficiencies, best practices and ensuring global team compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements · Continuously gaining an understanding of the customers' processes and how systems are used in support of their operations, transferring knowledge to users and other members of the team. · Independently leading initiatives and coordinating activities of a matrix team of individuals also from other teams for delivering production support as well as other initiatives/enhancements/projects related to JD Edwards EnterpriseOne. This would include managing all phases of the Project Life Cycle including requirements gathering, solutioning, change management, testing, ensuring post-production support and ongoing maintenance. Skills: Job Skills and Knowledge · Deep knowledge of finance functional capabilities provided by multiple E1 finance modules/systems · Expert level E1 configuration skills across multiple E1 modules or applications particularly for accounting · Solid analytical skills to understand existing business processes, lead efforts for process re-definition and re-engineering · Knowledge and work experience in multiple functional areas · Ability to delegate tasks when leading teams and monitoring progress · Strong team interaction and project management skills · Strong interpersonal and group communication skills (includes verbal, written, presentation and comprehension). · Customer service oriented · Knowledge of Microsoft office suite · Prior experience and understanding of change management and business flows · Experience in managing and directly resolving issues arising from go live of projects and other support requests · Previous experience with JDE and working in E1 Version 9.0 or migrating to 9.0 is a plus · Able to complete assigned work independently and/or as a part of a team Qualifications · Bachelors or Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, of finance related discipline or equivalent experience. · Minimum of 4+ years of recent relevant E1 Finance experience. Global experience a plus · Must have technical expertise in one or more of the E1 finance modules and a strong working knowledge in additional modules and systems interfaces in order to perform complex system configuration and issue resolution · Able to demonstrate excellent skills and prior experience with project management and change management · Project management certification or equivalent education is desirable · Experience with identifying and implementing global best practices including testing a plus Education: Bachelors or Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, of finance related discipline or equivalent experience.
