Description: Our client is currently seeking a PAYROLL ANALYST.   Under the direction of the Sr. Manager, Payroll, processing of weekly, bi-weekly and monthly payroll run activities and other additional duties related to the payroll process including research and resolution, creating and managing audit reports, and proposal of process improvements based on consistent errors or issues.  Position is back-up for the Sr. Payroll Manager and other payroll processing roles. Essential Functions: 1.            Processes complex payroll activities in accordance with the guidelines and legal requirements. 2.            Audit personnel and payroll changes and make corrections to information, as needed, keeping manager informed of recurring errors, recommending possible solutions for workflow and process improvement. 3.            Participates in training employees on using various payroll systems and tools. 4.            Responsible for documenting processes and creating and monitoring audit reporting all payroll related functions. 5.            Serves as back up for the Sr. Payroll Manager as well as other payroll roles, and able to handle all key payroll-processing areas. 6.            Designs and monitors key payroll reports and assist with employee withholding, direct deposits and related authorized deductions. 7.            Attends and participates in staff meetings to provide input towards department development and staff training. Minimum Requirements: Education:           Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance or related experience Experience:        5 years payroll processing experience and some payroll product implementation experience. Preferred Skills/Qualifications:   Experience with Payroll system implementations and payroll system administration a plus  Skills/Competencies:      * Unquestionable integrity          * Communication skills                                                 * Highly motivated                          * Positive attitude                                                * Analytical Skills                               * Problem solving skills                                                 * Interpersonal skills   Needs a payroll analyst with global experience, with exposure to the backend of payroll system, preferably Latin America ( Panama and Puerto Rico) Client supports 51 countries.  Client is moving to Workday payroll system from the current JD Edwards system.  If they have experience in both of either, that is strongly preferred. Important soft skills include the ability to hit the ground running, needs to have strong ability to show initiative, give input and suggestions, work without constant supervision and work in a very fast paced work environment.  Someone who is assertive and will  not sit back and wait for direction. Hours are 8 am to 5 pm, Monday and Friday
