win3.1 and cdrom

Hi,
Been awhile sence I have worked with a pc with win3.1. Can anyone here tell
me what you need to put in the autoexec file to get the cdrom to work?

According to the help file for MSCDEX, this is what Micro$oft has to
say:

/M:number
Specifies the number of sector buffers.

/D is the device name you have given it in CONFIG.SYS where the cd
driver(s) are loaded, must be the same. i'm not sure what the /M:12 does.

Hi, did you try to re-install the cd-rom drivers.... running setup, from the
installation
disk...it should make the correct entries into
your config and autoexec files for you..

I load the CD-Rom drivers into DOS, then install the OS- files are done
automatically.

I believe you have to tell it where to find the driver.
