I'm hoping that someone here has this motherboard or knows about it. It's a
socket seven ATX board that I bought several months ago and put my AMD K6
266MHz processor in. I want to upgrade the processor to a k6-2 450 MHz if
possible. The problem is that at the time of printing my manual, the
fastest k6-2 that was tested was a 350 so that's as far as the jumper
settings go. I've checked the FIC web site but it doesn't really clear up
my questions 1: Can I put a 450 MHz into my board (rev. B1 if that means
anything) 2: what jumper setting do I use and 3: does it matter what kind of
RAM I have (it's regular 66mhz SD-RAM.. not PC100 yet).

Thanks a bunch,
-Adam

1: yes, a 450 works (make sure you have latest bios to make sure thou)
2: follow the instructions for a 100 cpu bus and 66 mem but be warned
that there are posts out here by those that werent able to decouple the
speeds and had to lower chip to nearest speed (366 i think), easiest
way around is to just buy the faster memory
