The fan looks like one of those body-less types, that fits within the
confines of the aluminum heatsink.
Depending on the motherboard warranty, you could contact the tech
support of the motherboard manufacturer, and see if they'll help.
Some motherboard manufacturers will send a new heatsink/fan, if
there are problems within the warranty period. It might not
require sending the board back. They'd probably ask for the
board serial number, before sending it out.
Asus sells replacements for some of their motherboards. This
Asus site only services the USA. You would need to know
more about the pin spacing of your motherboard, and the
mechanical details of this part, in order to use it as
a substitute. The benefit of this one, is it is likely to
have a low profile like your MSI one.

There are also third party substitutes. If purchasing
a substitute, I'd probably still want a fan on it. You
probably already have a good idea as to how hot it
normally gets.
Ones like this, would likely block both video card slots.

There are passives, like this one, but they may have stopped
making them.

This is a copy of that design. You might be able to strap a
fan to a thing like this. When turned the right way, it
might only block one video card slot.

For where to put that drop, peel off the label in the center of the
rotor. If there's no shaft there, the fan is probably a reverse design
which means you'll have to remove it and get to it on the backside.
