I recently tried to update the bios on my gigabyte motherboard and it ended
up failing 1/2 way through - resulting in a non-booting system.
I now have an Intel SE440BX Motherboard and am trying to update the BIOS -
to get improved AGP support so that I can install the latest drivers for my
Millennium G200 graphics card. I've tried updating the BIOS as instructed,
and again it fails (the intel board luckily has a much easier recovery
system!).
Should doing a flash upgrade to the bios be this difficult? Are there any
well known pitfalls that I'm missing out on?
Any advice appreciated.
Cheers
Iain
This is assuming you have the correct Bios for your motherboard model and
revision (!).
