Eight speed DVD-R media is hard to find in North America. 8X DVD+R is a
little easier. Your best bet is to buy a few samples at a local store and
try them. Once you've found media which the 2500A likes, buy more. This way
you're not stuck with a spindle of 50 useless disks. TY or Taiyo Yuden is
very good quality compatible media, if you can find it. Fuji products marked
"Made in Japan" are made by TY. Ritek also makes pretty good media. YMMV
