Does anyone know what that means?? Is it a standard of some kind??

You buy a $500 computer, need $200 in add-ons
and you put $400 in software in it.
Spend umpteen hours in tech support calls gettting it working
(say $800 in lost productivity etc...)
Now compare that against a $1200 computer with
all needed software is included and it is operating
straight out of the box.
Its the type of stuff that makes companies buy Gateways,Dells
and such. Cruddier machines than what you could find elsewhere
but the overall actual costs are lower.
