I also just built my first PC and used the Abit It5h. I cannot
say enough about this board, it is fantastic. The manual is top
notch and with the SoftMenu it is so easy to set up. BTW, I would
suggest an Enlight 6680 Midtower, the Abit fits it perfectly, you can
get it at http:\\www.tccomputer.com for $75.

I have used a fancard for almost 6 years (www.fancard.com) and they
keep my motherboard so cool, well, no place in the case reads higher
than 74 F.

Story: Got where I worked to try one... in "my" machine, with the
fancard, all was well, in the other (identical) machines, all the
stickers that said "warranty void if this sticker removed" curled up
and fell off :-)

Cost about $20. I think they are a great idea, but do get the
"fancard II" with two fans though.

Where did you get this Abit It5h board? Is there a web site where I
can check out the specs?

Does the case look nice? Especially the front panel?

Thanks,

I recently got mine at Neutron Computers. Suprisingly it was on a
special for $149! I scooped it up. Their web address is:

How would this compare to a M Tech 534. I keep hearing good things
about these when paired up with the Cyrix 166+. Cost is about $165 w/512
cache..

I am building my own and wish to use the following======
One point to keep in mind is that if ever you wish to upgrade at a later stage
Creative Soundblaster 64 soundcard only supports Intel
The choice of intell or cyryx is now yours

This is not true. I have a AWE 64 running on a p55t2p4 3.10 with a Cyrix
P-166+
and it works great.
