I have this old Aptiva that I am trying to rehab as a game/homework computer
for a 7 year old girl.
Anyone know how the dang case comes off ?

Computer does nothing when plugged in an turned on.
Am hoping for a loose power connection inside, more than likely I would
imagine the power supply is shot.

Try this link. I'm thinking you have a 2153-E46. If not, there are
several examples of case removal at that link. One should work.

I would take a look at the processor also. I had a similar problem and
it turned out to be the processor was loose. I reseated the chip and
everything sprung to life. Post back here, or at this site

if you have more questions. There's a few old Aptiva users at the link
I gave you.

Thanks for the link I'll check it out.
You think the power light would not even go one with a loose proc ?

From what I remember, nothing came on when my processor was loose. I
was sure I fried something major. Hopefully, it's something easily
fixable for you.

Yeah hopefully, I know it'll make this little girls day if I can get it
working.
I'll update as necessary, thanks
