If you buy a 32 GB version of the new Surface Tablet with Windows RT
you're getting roughly 32 GB storage right? nah, this is M$.
Here’s how much hard disk space you have available out of the box:

The 32 GB version has approximately 16 GB free hard disk space.
The 64 GB version has approximately 46 GB free hard disk space.

I have a 16 GB iPad and have almost as much storage as a 32 GB M$ tablet.
my iPad ~14 GB

I'm surprised there's that much left. My basic install of W7 Ultimate
with just the standard added applications and essentially no stored data
weighs in at 30G.
