Then that program meets your needs. Other peoples' needs may be
different than yours though. For instance, I need a program which works
in Windows 7 and which will incrementally clone a drive or partition on
the system drive to another partition either on that drive or on another
drive.
Robocopy won't do that. Hasleo's Backup Suite Free's home page says:
• Backup & Restore, clone Windows OS, disks, partitions and
files(folders).Improved
• Supported backup modes: full, incremental and differential.
• Supports compression, encryption, splitting and merging of backup
image files.
• Delta restore improves restore speed by restoring only changed blocks.
• Automatically and regularly perform backup task with backup
schedule.Improved
• Image retention policy and centralized backup task management.
• Supported OS: Windows Vista/Server 2008 or later, fully compatible
with GPT and UEFI.
On on June 4, 2021, I asked Martin Brinkman in the comments section here:
https://www.ghacks.net/2021/06/04/first-look-at-hasleo-backup-suite-free-a-new-windows-backup-software/
where Hasleo was located, and he replied that it was China. Now they
claim to be located in the United States, so I'm guessing that they
simply relocated here possibly to get around objections to the program's
country of origin.
China, like the U.S., has a history of spying on people. Perhaps my
objections to using software from China are moot in any case.
Think about this: Unless you're a programmer extraordinaire and can hack
everything there is, you really don't know what's going on in the
background on any computer.
