Weird. Autoupdate didn't work, nor did Other Tasks > Check for updates.

How to point the download agent to the free version? I can only see
what's here: <http://www.macrium.com/pages/downloads.aspx>

I can't see that. The link you provide

<http://www.macrium.com/pages/downloads.aspx>

leads to

<http://updates.macrium.com/reflect/v5.0/ReflectDLFull.exe>

and this lets me download [ReflectDLFull.exe] (not reflectdl.exe).
Doubleclicking on the EXE doesn't let me choose 'Free'. I can only see
this window:
<http://www.macrium.com/uploads/trial_edition_selection.png>

[reflectdl.exe] can still be downloaded and that one /does/ offer you
the Free version. Problem is that it downloads build 7109.

The free version and the pay for version are the same download. When you
install it you will be asked if you want the free version or the trail
version.

Have you checked this? I'm guessing you haven't. Because when you use
ReflectDLFull.exe to download the installers there is a choice: either
Trial or Full. If you choose 'Trial' you get 4 options:

- Standard
- Professional
- Server
- Server Plus

If you choose 'Standard' and download the 64-bit version, then you get
v5.3.7134_reflect_setup_x64.exe. If you run this EXE you'll come across
this window: <http://oi61.tinypic.com/qspg05.jpg>

Notice it does *not* give you the choice of a 'free' version and if you
uncheck 'trial' you need to provide a license key. I canceled the
installation after this, so apologies if there is a free version after
this... Also a possibility: revert to 'free' after 30 days of trial.
Fort (Free) Agent 3.3 works this way.

I installed it on my wife's computer today. Exactly as I stated above.

http://www.macrium.com/reflectfree.aspx

I had to look again.At the bottom of that page where they are comparing
the free version with the two paid versions, Get it from CNET
Download.com is struck out. Click on it anyway. You will be taken to
Download.com where you can download it.

Where it says

| Version: 5.3.7109 (21 July 2014)

on top?

This leads to v5.3.7109. Look at the Subject: we're trying to download
v5.3.7134. Do you have this (free) version? (A screenshot would be nice
since I suspect you're yanking our chain.)

I checked the Support (web)forum. So far no complaints. Perhaps we need
to have some patience? I think I remember a similar situation in the
past.

I contacted Macrium and asked them if they were discontinuing Macrium
Reflect Free. They denied and stated that it sometimes takes CNET a
while to catch up. (Which doesn't explain why the program itself isn't
updating.) We"ll just have to have a bit of patience...

I downloaded the installer at CNET (yeah, yeah, I know |-) and ran it.
It downloaded 5.3.7134.

Other Tasks > Check for updates

works as well.

Tnx for testing! ;-)
