Even omitting the vital element of information, to wit, "my XP Pro SP3"
from the OP, it's not a very big leap to substitute "Default Programs"...
In Windows XP: Go to [Start] > Control Panel [I kept access to mine on the
desktop] > Select Add/Remove Programs > on the left, click Set Program
Access and defaults > Right-Click on the Custom > Jump to Choose the
Default Web Browser > and choose your desired browser from the list.
*IF* MyPal is really not listed, then you may want to either keep it status
quo or UNINSTALL it, then choose another default browser, then REINSTALL it
later, but opt-out or skip "Make MyPal Your Default Browser" option... or
words to that effect, unless you're being a PITA on purpose.
*IF* MyPal is deviating from MSFT's routine for some reason, inasmuch as it
purports to be designed specifically for Windows XP, then you may want to
contemplate a "Risks versus Gains" analysis on when, where, why, how, and
whether you'd be benefited by having MyPal installed in the first place.
It's called either an 'Approach-Approach' or and 'Approach-Avoidance'
conflict. *You* might could construe it into an 'Avoidance-Avoidance'
conflict - but you'd need deep pyschiatric assistance to resolve that.
