Does anyone use this program? http://www.runtime.org/dixml.htm
It's free and seems to work fine with Bart's PE as well.
Any comments?

My review 1/1. :)

Seriously, I have not yet used it enough to say, but it appears to work as
described without any nasty consequences yet. I still have a few more of
the options to try out.

I have been using it since seeing it mentioned in one of Clif's
newsletters-

http://freewarewiki.pbwiki.com/

I have backed up partitions, restored partitions, extracted files from an
image. One day soon, I will do a drive to drive copy.
I have used the plugin to add DriveImage XML to the "Ultimate Boot CD for
Windows"-

http://www.ubcd4win.com/

I'm very happy with the program and recommend it to anyone with WinXP.
After a short test, I think DriveImage XML will work with other Windows OS
once booted with ubcd4win. Can't tell for sure as it is still running on
my old WinME computer/jukebox out in the garage. :)

Thanks to all for the input. I have tried the drive to drive copy twice and
ended up with what appeared to be garbage both times on the destination
drive. Also it changed drive letters which was a bit confusing. The backup
and browse appears flawless however. Not sure about the restore as I haven't
fully tried it.

Hi Don, well I can confirm your results with the drive copy option-

Doesn't work to well does it.
Instead I made an image with Partition Saving-

http://www.pricelesswarehome.org/2006/PL2006SYSTEMUTILITIES.php#0547-PW

Restored the image to the new drive, then toggled the boot option with
Ranish. Bit of extra work but it's freeware. ;)
