Franklin--his well known personality disorder will continue in 2008
and will finally be diagnosed as the Climorphic condition of

It will be dealt with in the second or third quarter when his family
and friends become so fed up with his senseless babbling, incessant
lies, obsession with perverted sex and identity problems, they will
collect the money required for him to have a full frontal lobotomy:

Afterwards, Franklin will never be the same again and will be given
a brand new battery-operated random rubbish generator to play with.
Gordon Darling--will eventually reveal himself to be the adopted,

ms--will finally get one good nights sleep.
Lord Possum--will end up in someone's cooking pot.
Krazee Brenda--will reconcile with her estranged hubby and will
announce reunitedware.
Kat Mandu--will get involved in a horrendous argument with himself
over something or other and disappear through the roof in a shower
of sparks. Next seen in Kathmandu, Nepal behind a cloud of strange
smelling smoke.
Katman/Straight Talk--in accordance with the old maxim:
"All truth passes through three stages.
First, it is ridiculed, second it is violently opposed,
and third, it is accepted as self-evident"
their views on PFWs will eventually be accepted, but those who
have ridiculed and killfiled them for months will never apologise
because that's not the American way.

Ron May--will continue to suck up to John Corliss and churn out the
most fantastic conspiracy theories which have no basis in fact. He
will eventually disappear up his own ass. R.I.P.
hummingbird--will get piss*d off with Franklin, Ron May and
John Corliss falsely accusing him of being the sporger (and just
about anybody else who posts to a.c.f. anonymously), that he will
decide to install Hipcrime/NewsMaestro to get his own back. a.c.f.
will then frequently disappear under a tsunami of sporge, the like
of which has never been seen, and even smartypants Ron May won't
be able to cope with it, if he hasn't disappeared up his own ass by
then.
iNcReDuLoUs--will finally post something, anything that has to do
with FREEWARE. It will only have taken him seven years to achieve
this milestone.
clueless Lew/Slash--will continue to snipe and make derogatory
comments about Christians, describing them as "Jews who have
gone bad" but will wonder why anti-semitism is on the rise across
the world. As a socialist Democrat, he will continue to delude
himself by asserting that Hitler was a Republican, not a socialist.
Later in the year, his grandfather will urge him to marry a nice
jewish girl, so he will quietly propose to Susan Bugher. If it comes
off, Franklin will be bridesmaid and John Corliss the party clown.
Susan Bugher--will continue to strut her stuff around a.c.f. posting
the occasional "do you love me" threads, but will finally cave in to
commonsense and remove the old pricelessware website URL from
her signature which contains the risk of trojan infection by users.
A name change to High Priestess is indicated for about quarter two.
Meanwhile, she will continue to make personal attacks on others
while posting threads asking others to "be nice to each other".
John Corliss--will be attacked by his pussy rotweiller and will need
repair surgery to his throat and face. The dog won't attack his
balls because he hasn't got any. Later, he will be diagnosed as

and put on strong medication which will cause him much confusion.
He will finally admit to being what many people have always known:

It was a bit of mistake really because it now helps convince those in
alt.comp.freeware (who had not been too sure if you were actually

a sockpuppet pseudonym.
Of course, that's something many others of us knew a long time ago.

I think you nailed it, John. There are people like most of the
regular posters and lurkers here who recognize that ACF is like a
neighborhood community. We know up front that we won't always agree,
but we understand there is an acceptable standard of behavior. The
discussions can often be heated, but most feel it's important to try
to contribute than to try to tear down.
Some, OTOH, are so dysfunctional and miserable that they have an
irresistible compulsion to try to spread their misery, to try to tear
down what they know they know they can't build, and their goal is to
try and bring others down to their level.
Anyone who has been a parent or who has been around small children for
any amount of time will recognize the term "terrible twos," when a
child begins to assert itself before she or he has grasped the
fundamental concepts of "playing well with others." All a small child
knows is that they are unhappy and miserable, so their instinctive
reaction is to try to eke out some measure of satisfaction in trying
to ruin things for others.
Most children grow out of this phase as they gain social experience
and come to the realization that they have more to gain by changing
their own behavior than by engaging in what ultimately turns out to be
a futile effort to control others through their tantrums.
All of us still have traces of the "terrible twos" within us. I know
*I* do <g> but the important thing (IMHO) is to recognize when I've
crossed a line and need to bring *myself* back to reality mode.
Unfortunately, some individuals are so socially, emotionally and
intellectually retarded that the "tantrum" behavior (in various forms)
is their only method of coping. They don't have the same set of
skills to work with that well-developed individuals do. Perhaps it
was due to their parentage and upbringing. Perhaps it is because (at
least in their own mind if not necessarily in reality) they've been
"abused and maltreated" by others.
Whatever the reason, these pathetic souls become the vandals who
strike in the dead of night to slash the inflatable lawn displays of
people who attempt to spread a little cheer for others in decorating
for the holidays. They become the Holocaust deniers. They are those
who make obscene and harassing anonymous phone calls to disturb
others' peace. They hide behind various nyms and sock puppets on
Usenet to take cheap shots at others that they can't deal with
directly as equals out of fear or impotence, because they know they
will lose. They are the sporger(s) whose goal is to try and ruin a
positive experience for others, but who are ultimately frustrated and
defeated when their efforts are easily brushed aside. In extreme
cases, they become the lowest form of criminal elements like child
molesters whose warped pleasure comes not from the act itself, but the
satisfaction of some small sense of power by attacking the powerless
when they themselves are powerless to deal with the real or (more
often) imaginary abuses heaped on them by others.
Everyone needs to decide for themselves the best approach to dealing
with these miserable individuals. Foe me, I've decided to deprive
them of what they most crave: my anger and animosity. I refuse to be
baited. It took me a long time to learn that no one can *make* me
angry or upset. Those are conscious choices that *I* make for myself.
At least for me, the more rewarding feeling comes from denying those
who can't compete peer-to-peer the satisfaction of controlling my
feelings or reactions. Think of the process as dealing with insects
or vermin. You don't get "mad" at them, and you don't reward them by
"feeding" them. You deal with them in a mature and adult fashion.

Come along now, Mr Bottoms, let's be honest. We all know
Hummingbird/Chris does not admit to his actions.
We all know each other well enough and there's no need for us to
politely pretend that Hummingbird/Chris has any scruples about making
vicious attacks on people he is debating with under the cover of
sockpuppets. Hummingbird/Chris even posts to his own sockpuppets to
offer support and agreement although often he is the only person in the
whole group which makes any reply at all.
In fact, one such posting was made by Hummingbird/Chris about a week ago
which has the subject "Susan Bugher hides from fact" and which
Hummingbird/Chris made anonymously by using the pseudonym Liberator.

I'm sure the name Mystic Meg was chosen to add some seasonal humour
and most people saw it for exactly that. Humour is usually best when
people can relate to it, as we see with much political humour. That

will be available to pop up when needed. One example of this is when

If hummingbird is the sporger then he is all over Usenet. I am not
convinced he is guilty of the crime you accuse him of merely for the
reason that I don't think he is capable of performing such a dastardly
deed and not being caught by now. Everytime he tries changing aliases
in this group he is easily caught.

Hummingbird seems to operate in an "anything-goes" moral environment.
I don't know where or how he learnt such an operating style but it is
not one which I can subscribe to.
As for all Hummingbird's false identities, well, if he didn't feel
the urge to be downright vicious or plain nasty to others then there
wouldn't be such a need for his sockpuppeting.

Yup. I'm sure and others seem equally sure. Humingbird replies to his own
sockpuppets in order to make other feel that the two posters are
different.
The fact is that almost no one else other than Hummingbird ever replies to
his sockpuppets so that looks strange straight away.
And his sockpuppets say things or hold a point of view which could have
only come striaght from Hummingbird's own mouth.
