If you don't check out the screenshot, you might make the mistake of
installing adware on your system:

http://www.snapfiles.com/get/uTorrent.html

Yet the program is listed as freeware here:

http://www.snapfiles.com/new/list-freeware-whatsnew.html

I contacted the site author about this issue.

uTorrent ads can be disabled.

Snapfiles doesn't tell you that the ads can be disabled, and older versions
don't have ads at all.

From that article:
_______________________________________________________________________
uTorrent is a great app, but it can be annoying to have ads on your
desktop apps. Fortunately, these can be disabled in the Advanced settings.

To turn off ads and offers, open Options > Preferences > Advanced. Here
you'll find a large list of flags for the app and a filter box. Search
for and disable the following flags:

- offers.left_rail_offer_enabled/left_rail_offer
- gui.show_plus_upsell
- offers.sponsored_torrent_offer_enabled/sponsored_torrent_offer_enabled
- bt.enable_pulse
- gui.show_notorrents_node
- offers.content_offer_autoexec

These flags may be named slightly differently depending on which version
of the app you're using. Be careful when editing things if you're not
entirely sure what they do.

Well, to their credit they say this:

//FYI: This program offers to install promotional or third party
software. Installation of these components is optional but you should
pay attention during setup to avoid installing unwanted software.//

I have no idea if this was added in response to your
complaint. They still hide the fact that the latest versions ARE
adware, NOT freeware, even if you "avoid installing unwanted
software". Unless by that, they mean uTorrent itself.
;)

FileHippo used to be the best site to get uTorrent. They used
to have all the old versions. Now they only host adware-enabled
versions.

These have the freeware versions:

http://www.oldapps.com/utorrent.php

I'm betting that it was there before. I just went to:

http://www.snapfiles.com/get/uTorrent.html

and for a split second, saw that message and then it disappeared.

Getting curious, I disabled uBlock Origin on that webpage and refreshed
it. The message reappeared and stayed!

Perhaps it was uO's 1st party script blocking?

Most likely when I looked at that page before, I didn't see the warning
flash briefly and then disappear.

I read that the last version without ads or (note: "or") the EpicScale
bitcoin miner was 2.2.1.

Other than FileHippo, OldApps, and OldVersion, I also have bookmarks for
software library sites that offers older versions.

http://www.afterdawn.com/
http://www.filehorse.com/

For uTorrent, the oldest version available is v1.6.1 Build 483 Beta in
AfterDawn. FileHorse doesn't have any older version of uTorrent (the latest
version in their site is v3.5.0 Build 43804). Both sites categorize uTorrent
as freeware but also tagged it as ad-supported.

Versions prior to 2.0.4 had various remotely exploitable
vulnerabilities. From 2.04 to 2.21 only the local fake-dll-inside-the
-folder exploit. After 2.21it became adware.
(quoting from memory, and ignoring possible NSA backdoors,
it's been a while since I studied it in security listings)

Did he have a problem accessing his GMail account?

Yes, they locked it because I sent a malware URL to a malware
researcher, and labeled it as such.
An account I've had for over a decade, in my RL name.
They refuse to unlock it.
Welcome to the new meaning for IP = Internet Police
I'll wait a week, and if it's not unlocked open an account in
an alternative server and (sht) have to send emails to all my contacts
explaining what happened.

Google certainly is licking Macroshaft azz.

They block Office Access and Presentation files, but doesn't bother blocking
Word, and Excel files (where they also can contain scripts).

And what the heck they need to block LIB, SYS, and VXD files for? They can't
be executed unless a system is already infected by a malware.

And why the heck they don't block HTML, MHTML, and PDF files too?
Considering that they can contain scripts.

Either Google, their email administrators, or both, are idiots.

Today I copied the old Documents directory to a new win10 computer,
and win10 defender blocked 2 WORD documents because they contained
macros.
So please stop spreading bullshit.

Sorry, but that's irrelevant.
That's Windows Defender, not GMail.
