Well you guys have been doing a great job
recommending freeware apps, so I'm just going to
keep on asking for more advice.

I'm looking for two sorts of apps:

1. An app to control the right-click menu within
explorer (or is that based on the contents of a
directory within 'documents and settings'?)

2. An app that will allow me to copy to clipboard
the filename and full path of any file selected in
explorer.

Thanks for all of your help.

Check out Context Magic. It's right-click heaven.

Path Copy can be customized to show/hide
any of these context menu entries.

Furthermore, one can define up to five additional copy methods,
with which it is possible to rename and/or (de-)capitalize
while copying - very useful.

That's a good point.

Really an extension of the above request, but for Internet Explorer. I
seem to have a whole library of right click options now. Some I know
about where they originate, others not. Is there an equivalent to
ContextEdit for IE?

Make them or get rid of them? If you want to make them, Fast Explorer
is a dandy... http://thesoftpro.tripod.com/downloads/fe/index.htm

Heh... they're the ones I *do* know about :)
I was thinking there might be an area of the registry where they're all
stored together, and maybe a freeware app to identify/control them.

I do not know about an app; regarding the registry :
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\MenuExt
Especially XP users may have to do a search for the MenuExt subkey, as
it may also be in another tree. Some links for editing/creating :
