Evidence Eliminator works fine on my machine. No problems at all. It
depends on how you set it up I suppose.
I tried Webwasher. Didn't like it... :o/

Me neither! Great little app.....one of my faves.
<snip>
> 8. Infraview... image viewer and manipulator
Definitely a must have (I assume you mean Irfanview?)....fast and
unobtrusive.
<snip>
A few more, particular favorites of mine:
MailWasher...great for keeping the inbox free from spam or other unwanted
email.
eCleaner...a great little app for cleaning up all those little forwarding
arrows when you forward mail.
Kerio Personal Firewall....free for personal use, and solid as a rock on my
system, unlike several others that I tried.
X-Setup from Xteq Systems....for the power tweakers, everything you could
possibly want in one app.
YahooPOPs...allows me to download my YahooMail into my pop email client.
Discovered it shortly after YahooMail started charging for their pop3
service.

I love puzzles.
Who can guess what the typo "porives" was supposed to mean.
Best I can do is "proves", but that seems just too far away from
"proives".
Best answer (and I *am* the Judge[1] <g>) gets...um...a coupon for
50¢ off a 1- or 3-pound package of FarmerJohn Smoked Sausage. :)

too far away ?? one letter extra and one out of place :-)
My vie of email and of usenet posts is that they are the equivalent of
post-it notes - not to be spellchecked and not to be proofread.
I am actually disappointed there is not a typo in my pots :-)
Alastair Smeaton
Substantiates. That's pretty close ;-) Although "Althenticates" is a close
second.

Typo. Rememer typo. I'm looking for what the typo was supposed
to be, not words that are synonyms of what the typo was supposed
to be. IOW, if I mistyped "dog" to "god", we'd be looking for
"dog", here, not "monolithic deity".
--
Blinky
Fusked up my own example. Meant to say I'd be looking for "dog",
not "canine" or "man's best friend". D'oh.
--
Blinky
Yes -- to me that seems too far away.

That would explain "vie"; and many seem to adhere to that style of
miscommunication. It's my belief that if one is going to write,
one might as well write well. It really takes very little more
time and effort, if one listened at all in school -- even through,
say, junior high, which most of us probably completed. There is
nothing in this medium to represent us but our written expression.
Those who wich to present themselves as incompetent are welcome to
do so; I just choose not to, for myself.

mistake whenever you're addressing spelling or grammar.

Now help me again, willya? How do Sade and Goethe fit in?

Not bad in terms of the possible typo-ness -- but I don't think
the *word* makes sense in that sentence: "[it] provided if they
DID receive your mail". That doesn't make any sense in English.

Agreed, with a caveat. A History professor of my acquaintance has a
motor neuron disorder which leads to all sorts of interesting typos. I
myself have a mild case of CP, which is also responsible for many
inversions and additions. "Porives" for proves would be very easy for
my fingers, believe you me. 8^)

I love baseball. My TV is behind me when I'm at my computer,
which is more of the time than when I'm facing the TV. I have a
2-by-3-inch mirror velcroed to the top right corner of my monitor,
to act as a rear-view mirror for TV. Had that for years, and am
very adept at reading backwards. But the hardest thing to get
used to - and I *still* have to think about it, actually - was/is
hearing the crack of the bat, and glancing up to see the better
running from home to third.
Basketball? Football? Hockey? No problem -- for they are The
Symmetric Games. :)
