any recommendations for a DVD player for WinXP?
WMP can't play one DVD I got (no audio)

Ditto. Haven't used WMP in forever. VLC never whines that it needs
codecs.

I had good experiences with vlc. It plays nearly everything without the
need of extra codecs and stuff.
