16:9 or 4:3 photos?

One thing a photographer with a digital camera faces is the choice of
taking photos in the 16:9 ratio or 4:3 ratio.
16:9 looks good on a LCD TV but there is a problem printing the photos, at
least until they product printers that can print in 16:9 ratio.
In 4:3 I can photograph in 18 Megapixels but in 16:9 I can only photograph
in 13 Megapixels.
I don't want to take every photo in both 16:9 and 4:3 so I need to choice a
ratio to photograph in.
Any advice would be welcome thanks.
