Its the link I was given for the magazine for disabled travellers in London.
I kid you not.

The referenced web site appears to be for non-blind physically disabled
travelers. It looks like a Web magazine, in it there are advertisements
for lift chairs, motorized wheelchairs, and the like. If I were you, I
probably would consider it spam.

Good luck.

How did you get past the link to the magazine and please share the secret.

Most magazines catering for 'the disabled' tend not to include the
'sensory impaired': Disability Now was originally meant to be aimed at
the physically disabled. Here in the UK, its probably well enough known
that we get material produced by our main VI charity. I'm not too
surprised. Hadn't heard of it before and will try and remember to keep
an eye out for it. I live near enough to London for it to be useful.

Sincerely Chris

The link worked for me and up came the front page, but I had a bit of a
job to find out how to get *into* the magazine. There are arrows at the
centre of the bottom pane.

This has come up because transport for London do make it available via tape
in audio, but they been asked for an electronic version. Unfortunately,
reading between the lines in those who posted here, it sounds like some
sight is required to actually get into the magazine, or a lot more expertise
than your average blind computer user has to figure out the way to get in.
If it is possible with hal or nvda, I've not found it as yet. If the route
in exists, then the page needs instructions for this, but a far better bet
is to drop the flash and just make a button that says, enter this issue.

I do hate people who try to be too clever.

So, can it be accessed with no sight?

I couldn't have accessed it without sight: absolutely not. It looked
simply like a print magazine. In fact my first action was to click on
the right hand top of the 'magazine' cover and I could see it trying to
turn the page over and not doing anything, which sent me scrolling round
the screen to see what else there was.

I didn't have Thunder turned on, so I don't know how much use it would
have been.

Sincerely Chris
