Does anyone know if it is possible to paste MSword documents or ASCII text
into the BAAN text boxes ?

Yes it is. It is possible to start Windows programms using
ole-calls. I have seen some script in Baan IV b4 in the tg
(Business Organiser) package where the code is actually there to
do exactly what you want to do. The code, however is not active
(piped-out) and market as BAAN V!!!

What this code does, is start Word, get textlines from the
tt-tables and transfer them to Word, and when word closes, imports
the lines back in again. I do not remember exaclty how it was
done, and I am not on a project where all the sources are, so
that愀 all I can tell you at this moment. Good Luck

You can do it with less effort. While in the text box use <esc>x to load an
external text. Same way to create a text out of your text use <esc>s.
For further information about the text editor commands use <esc>h.

Hope that will be helpfull.

Specify a new text group to use notepad.exe instead of the Baan editor.
You cannot use word in 4c or less versions.
It is better than nothing I guess
