A couple of days back I found my browser (firefox) open to a webpage
http://dailyjobsnews.tk/ that I know I did not open. It was what was
obviously a fake webpage made to look like a news site with a story
about google offering free jobs to the public or something like
that.

Today, a friend on facebook is posting links to this site on his wall.

I can't seem to find any refrence to this using the search engines but
I think my computer may be infected.

Does anyone know about this and how to detect if I have been infected
and how to disinfect?

Thanks for any assistance.

The website you visited redirected FF to that suspect one. (A redirect
is a request from a server to FF to connect to a different URL (website
address.) You should set FF to accept redirects only with your permission:

Tools > Options > Advanced > General tab > Accessibility > check the box
next to "Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page."

Advise your friend to remove the links to that suspect website.

Thanks for that information Wolf K. Mine wasn't checked, but it is
now. I didn't know that was there.
