I loved peanuts when I was young (I still enjoyed reading them).
But in childhood they had a special meaning.

The priest at my church (Fr. Ganon) was also a Peanuts fan.
Every Sunday that he said mass, he would bring in the
Peanuts comic strip from the Sunday morning paper.

During his sermon, he would present the comic strip and read
it to the congregation. Somehow he would relate this strip to
the readings from the bible and find some insight for all to
share.

As a kid, this was special since it made me feel close to
my church. Here was this priest, who as a child you think
of as on a pedestal, talking about *my* comics.

Does anyone else have any childhood memories of Peanuts?
