Is Shifting Sands down, or are the archivers on vacation?

I was wondering if anyone knew if Darqstar and Midnight were on hiatus.
Shifting Sands hasen't been updated in a while, and I didn't see anything
saying that there was a problem..

I don't wanna sound like a nag or anything, I'm more worried, I know Darqstar
was having problems with the archive before, and that she's strapped for
time..

Has anyone heard from either of them?

Well, I'm on an official hiatus and I am until 1999. This is due to a
promise I made to my family and friends, who were starting to seriously
worry about my state of health when I was running the archive. It's also
because I didn't want to butt in on Midnight. The only thing I am *allowed*
to update is stuff that either me, JF Jackson, or Arthur Lasher has
written.

I don't know why Midnight isn't updating. I've written and he's refusing
or unable to write me back. Most likely, personal or professional reasons
are making it unable for him to find the time. He's also in the middle of
several projects involving the archive, that make it almost impossible for
me to just jump in and grab it over again.

Yeah, I'm strapped and I'm *still* strapped. Believe it or not, it's still
like the height of the busy season at work as far as the hours I'm working.
We had one layoff to get rid of the "dead wood" and now it seems like I'm
trying to do more work with less manpower. I did just get back from a
vacation, but next week it's back to the 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. days. No, I'm
not complaining, I'm thrilled to have a job, but it's rather obvious that
I'm not in any position to straighten out problems and take over the
archive again.

Until I hear from Midnight, my hands are tied. As soon as I hear
something, I will let people know by posting either here, or on the page.
Until then, there really is nothing I can do.
