I'm going to pitch this cool idea to you. ;) Send e-mail to
gin...@vax2.concordia.ca if you are interested.

I am setting up X-Writers, a fan fiction e-mail group. The
FAQ isn't quite finished yet, so I'll give a VERY summarized
explanation of what we are.

Just what is X-Writers? It's a group of individuals, basically,
coming together to do one of two things:
a) Write X-Men stories.
b) Comment on them.
What do I mean, "write X-Men stories"? We take X-Men #45 (the
Rogue/Gambit/Iceman/Sinister in Seattle issue) and cut it off
there. We say, "Everything AFTER that point in any book
has not happened. Anything that has happened up to that point
is part of set continuity." We take that point in the X-Men's
history and write our own X-books.

Each book has one issue per month. There is one writer per
book. Simple enough? Sound good?

Almost all of the books have been assigned a writer. The only
remaining ones are:

1) Cable
2) Wolverine
3) X-Factor
4) Excalibur

This is what I'm pitching today. ;) Until these writers are set
up and the first issue of each book is written, the mailing list
won't effectively start. So I'll post later on subscribing to
the stories list and to the discussion list.

Meanwhile, think about this: How many times have you told
yourself: I could write better that that guy... I know what
the X-Men are -supposed- to be like...

Consider that, look over the list, and get back to me if you're
interested. Don't expect a response before Saturday the...
9th, however, 'cause I'm out of town until then. But the faster
we get started the better. ;)

Thanx. >8)

Not to numb your ideas, but are you aware of the existence of the Untold
Legends mailing list?

Send e-mail to list...@netcom.com with "subscribe untold-l" in the body
and no subject to join. Fan fiction, about X-Men and non-X stories alike,
is then welcome at any time and in any form by sending your stories to
unto...@netcom.com.

Is Feron still in that damn waterfall??? You've got to be kidding? He's been
in there since I stopped reading the book 'bout a year ago! Is he auditioning
for TLC or something? And no I don't like the group, just that one song, this
guy I was seeing worked for WJMN and they play that song 52,000 times a day, so
it was either like it or else :) Kinda why I started listening to Jamiroquai
(diff guy though) and now I LOVE them! Saw them at Axis last week, great
concert btw...

Well, it's not so much that he's still in it as that nobody's
mentioned him in two years. Presumably Excalibur sent somebody
to cart him away to a mental institution if he never woke up.
