Any information would be greatly appreciated. I am a novice when it
comes to statues, but I would definitely like to find one. Thanks.

Hi, the statue originally sold for $150 I believe.
I have seen them go from $300 to $700.
I have one I wish to sell with the original box.
I can send photos if you are interested.

Yes, it was limited to 5555. It's available all the time, mostly on
auction sites, but be VERY wary of counterfeits, and ask lots of
questions BEFORE you bid, and make sure they state a production number
(hand-written on the bottom of the statue). Also make sure it's not
the mini-one, which was produced in almost the same amount, as some
idiots/scammers will not say it's the mini one and hope no one knows
the difference. I do not recommend auctions in general tho, too many
scammers/counterfeits.
No-box ones you can get probably for around $250-$400 or so, boxed
ones go for $450-$700 and sometimes more, at least on auctions. I got
$750 for my boxed one 4 years ago (sold at a convention), and was
happy to get that. Pay no attention to guide prices of $1100-1200,
that's a fantasy some store dealers have. You can buy them boxed,
several a week, for $700 or less usually, if you know where to go and
can verify they're legit. Again, there are plenty on the market all
the time.
Do google searches to find any at online stores, it's as easy as that.
Do a variety of searches, using the year produced sometimes, as well
as Bowen's name (last name is all you need), as some sellers leave out
some details, and others use them all.
I personally didn't care for it all that much, as most of Bats is just
cape, and then his head, and the rest is gargoyle. The paper wrapper
on the box shows preliminary designs, one of which was him standing on
the gargoyle, which is what they should've used. I've always been
surprised at how much it's going for now and has been for years, and
it's always on the market, yet better and more limited Batman statues
have done squat. I like the newer Bisley one (standing on clock tower)
or the even newer Jim Lee one better.
But of course buy it cuz you like it, not because you think you're
going to retire by selling it in a few years. Good luck with your
hunt!
