Last month's Meg Dredd story has Dredd referring to 'sweat cubes'.
Never heard of them. Surely he meant iso-cubes?

Most odd. Perhaps the perps perspire when they do time.

Presumably the criminal equivalent of what a judge gets when arrested by the
SJS

perhaps its a crueller form of incarceration, where the internee has to
spend their time stitching footballs and making cheap clothing...

I never heard of it either but in
Mega City one it's got to be
pretty tough. Maybe it's something
the Judge's or Tharg thinks we
should not know about! Haw! :P

You know how when the SJS arrest a judge, they put him in an interrogation
cell and "torture" him? Well that's also known as "sweating" somebody - you
see the sweat rolling down their faces when the SJS are asking them
questions and beating them up; hell Dredd's been through it at times. We've
also heard Dredd and other cops - such as characters in The Shield and The
Bill - use the phrase "sweat it out of them" in reference to getting
information from a suspect by denying them a lawyer, depriving them of
sleep, and shouting at them all the time. So surely a "sweat cube" must be
an interrogation cell -- in this case, one for criminals rather than
(suspected) bent judges.

Well maybe, but what do they do with all
that futuristic perp sweat? I'm thinking
Dredd uses it to grease the joints on
his old pal "Walter the Robot"!

Or maybe if the perps stay in the iso cubes
to long they start to ferment and turn into
sweet cubes. Thats gotta be tough.
