I read that the anniversary special was re-scheduled for Feb. 18th at 8pm on
NBC, but when I checked the TV guide, there was no mention of it. Does
anybody know what's going on??? Has it been canceled AGAIN???

Please let me know what's going on, and when it's going to be on if it has
been re-sceduled.

Thanks in advance.

Sam

I'm sorry...I don't understand what you are trying to say, Elmer.

Get out hope??? What do mean? And stay out of what?
Please explain.

And if anyone else has any info on the special, please let me know.

Thank you,

Sam

It's been shelved again, replaced by "The World's Most Memorable Game Shows
Part 2". Look for it to be scheduled, then dropped again, in May "sweeps".

i have two theories..one is that there are second thoughts due to
reshuffling of other networks' schedules....the other and more likely
one is fact the stooges are no longer on amc, and that is a telling sign
to NBC of a current lull in stooges interest. It will probably air, but
I think they want to wait until there is a wave

If Turner does indeed launch the Stooges it will likely be this summer. They
were planning on picking up and running the Laurel and Hardy films in June in
honor of Stan's birthday.

But these things still haven't been verified past the rumor stage. Let's hope
the rumors are true. All of the classic comedians demand regular air time.

Or maybe...someone realized that this year is NOT the 75th anniversary of the
Stooges!

According to Threestooges.com it is scheduled for April 29th, NBC 8pm EST.
Not sure why it didn't air last time.

Someone posted April 9 - not 29. Do we know which it is for sure?

Yes, it WAS delayed AGAIN! Here is what Knucklehead News now has posted on
the Stooges website:

Don't miss the 75th year anniversary celebration of your favorite comedy
team. On April 29, 2003 at 8:00pm, Comedy III Productions will present a
very special one hour tribute to the kings of comedy - The Three Stooges.
Emmy winner and Oscar nominee Woody Harrelson ("Cheers," "The People vs.
Larry Flynt," and "Kingpin") will host NBC's "The Three Stooges' 75th
Anniversary Special," a one-hour event which marks three-quarters of a
century of entertainment from The Three Stooges - one of the world's
wackiest and most-beloved comedy teams.
