IMHO, Kook's Tour isn't worth the film it was made on. After watching
it, I can see why it was never released on mass. I peronally think it's
horrible. Aside from the beautiful scenery, there's not one redeeming
quality about it. Don't get me wrong. I love the Stooges and am quite
the Stooge afficianado. However, to view it as a curiosity piece is one
thing, to reccommend it is another thing altogether.
Admittedly, this is not top-notch Stooges by any stretch of the imagination.
But it does close out a long-missing piece of their collective work...and even
bad Stooges is better than no Stooges!

I have an original on Super 8mm film, and the sound is not tinny and the
color not faded. The scenery shots were not put in due to Larry's illness,
they were always a part of the plan, according to Moe's comments in the
small book that came with the film.

At the end of Kook's Tour, Moe speaks about having the Stooges tour Japan. Was
this genuinely considered or was that only wishful thinking?

For a start, you could look to:

and weed out all the shorts and solo appearances. You'll probably find
some neat stuff you weren't aware of in the process.
