Hey Knuckleheads, Four hours into todays AMC's Three Stooges N.Y.U.K.
Marathon.and all twelve shorts aired so far this morning I haven't seen
on AMC. Four are ones I've not seen in years! And having Leslie Nielsen
play a professor at N.Y.U.K. during the breaks between the shorts is
very funny. A great way to start April Fool's Day! Rusty

Hey, wiseguys....wonder if they'll show the controversial ones everyone in this
newsgroup is talking about....."The Yoke's on Me" and all the other references
to Japs and various ethnic groups....I never noticed that AMC has been editing
these.......

Be observant, lamebrains, and see if AMC shows them in their entirety.....so
far, that lineup doesn't include these...

They played "No Dough, Boys", which is about as "anti-Japanese as the
Stooges got" today, and I'm sure it was uncut. That's about my least viewed
short. I think I've only seen it 3 or 4 times in 30+ years. It's actually
pretty funny, though Larry has the WORST Japanese accent I've ever heard.
Sounds like a cross between German and Yiddish....

Yep, if you want to see them on AMC, that is.....some cities have the Stooges
on their local independent channels....I'm in TX and we get them on KXTX, a
local affiliate.....they just started on weekends late at night after hockey
and basketball games, but due to popular demand...guess what? They have them
on now EVERY NIGHT from 10-11 central....I couldn't be more excited......

Laura
P.S. Check your local programming late at night too see when they're on IF
you're city carries them....it's erratic on mine, since one never knows what
time the games will be over and if they go into overtime, the Stooges are not
shown at all, due to a "wrapup" of the game immediately following...:-(

In article <20000401221754...@ng-bg1.aol.com>,
Speaking of this short, I rather enjoy this short. The obvious racial
depiction of the Japanese (but understandable because this was during
wartime) aside, I liked seeing the women in the short get involved in
the action done by the Stooges. I like those few scenes in which female
actots were more than window decoration in the shorts. My favorite scene
is when the second Nazi woman is swung by Moe onto the needles on the
couch! Ouch!
