... and that's not all!!

I noticed in my Sunday paper TV guide that the Stooges were only going to be
on for 1 hour this coming Saturday and Sunday, as opposed to the previous
2-hour slots on those days. I'm in the Central time zone, and it's on from
8-9am, so if you're taping them like I am, adjust your timers.

But now for the good part! As previously reported by Laura, beginning on
July 5, they will be showing an hour of Stooges shorts every night, at 6pm
Central (adjust for your particular time zone). And guess what else!!! If
you go to www.gist.com and tell it to show you the grid for AMC, they have a
separate clickable link for each 20 minute interval, and THEY TELL YOU WHAT
EPISODES ARE BEING AIRED!!! Is that cool or what?? I don't have time to post
all of the info right now, but the first night on July 5 will feature "Punch
Drunks", "Restless Knights" and "Slippery Silks". (A quick note: GIST also
has show titles for the Saturday and Sunday slots, but they only give two of
the titles, one for each 1/2 hour)

See you later, I'm off to buy some more blank tapes!

Don't forget to mention that on Monday, July 3 they will be showing
Stooge shorts from 10 am to 8 pm straight. =)

Alright now, hold on a second. The www.gist site says Stooges from
10am to 8pm but the www.amctv site says nothing of the Stooges being
on at all on Monday. I would tend to trust AMC's site a little more so
probably no marathon but hey...we do still get Stooges 7 days a week
from July 5 on.

I was going to reply to your first message, but you beat me to it :-)
Anyway, I don't know which www.gist.com you are viewing, but when I go there
and look at July 3, I don't see any Stooges marathon; just the various
"rock" movies all day, as detailed on www.amctv.com.

As long as I'm posting a follow-up, I'll copy/paste the schedule info from
www.gist.com :

this so that even I can understand it???

Mike and Bill, thanks LOADS for your precious information, but now I'm really
confused......Will this guide continue to show what shorts ALL the time? Let
me in on this and take me step by step how to look this stuff up on the
website......

Someone else did this when the Stooges' marathon was first aired on AMC and it
was GREAT!!!!

So, NO STOOGES MARATHON on the 3rd of July or YES??!! 6:00 p.m. central, huh??
Guess I'll have to eat dinner and watch them at same time.....that'll be hard
but I think I can do it!! LOL........

When I go to www.gist.com and type in "Three Stooges" in
the 'TV search' box (upper left part of the page) I get the list that
I copied below and when I click on the words "in grid" for any of the
July 3 dated shows it brings me to a grid for July 3rd and says
Stooges 8am to 10pm.
I don't know how to get straight to the grid like you seem to be so I
don't know what page you're seeing but I'm 99.9% positive we're
looking at the same site.

Whats even stranger is that we have alot of different titles listed as
well.

I'm still going by what the www.amctv.com site says.

That explains it... I wasn't doing a search on "Three Stooges", I was
selecting "AMC" from the channel drop-down list. Take a closer look at the
info for the following two shorts which I've snipped from your included
text:

> The Three Stooges AMC-29 Sun, Jul 2, 2000 9:30 AM
> "A Pain in the Pullman"
> The boys wreak havoc on a train. Comedy. In grid

Look at the top line for each group; the first one lists AMC-29 as the
channel, while the second one lists WRBW-5. I would say that your all-day
marathon is on the other channel, which is hopefully carried by your cable
provider :)

...and then it hit me like a pie in the face
<insert frustrated Curly sounds here>
"I'm tryin to think, but nuttins happenin"

So there IS a Stooge marathon going on from 10am to 8pm July 3rd but
it's on UPN 65 or WRBW, or at least in the central florida area. I
would check your listing though cause 65 is aired around most of the
country I think.
I guess I'm gonna get some good use out of my vcr this week.
Thanks for clearin things up for me, Mike.
