>I wish I saw kooks tour, youve seen it!
Yeah, I bought a copy in Super 8mm some twenty-odd years ago out of curiosity.
It is interesting, but not terribly entertaining. Certainly worth seeing as a
stooge fan, though.
I also have seen Shemp's one feature, Gold Raiders, which was also more
interesting than funny.
What happens in Kooks tour?
-----
Generally, it shows the boys in retirement after years of stooging, and out
seeing the world. It is quiet and pleasant, sometimes amusing, but generally
rather dull. It is interesting only because we are stooge fans and would be
interested in anything they did, but there really isn't much there.
I think it has been released to video recently.
Curly:
Favorite: An Ache in Every Stake
Least Favorite: A Bird in the Head
Shemp:
Favorite: Brideless Groom
Least: Cuckoo on a Choo-Choo
Joe:
Favorite: Quiz Whiz
Least: Sweet and Hot
Curly Joe:
Favorite: Three Stooges Meet Hercules
Least: Snow White and the Three Stooges
Shemp- GOOF ON THE ROOF
BRIDELESS GROOM
Best Curly: How High Is Up? (2nd Choice: A-Plumbing We Will Go)
Worst Curly: G.I. Wanna Home (2nd choice: any of the last few shorts he
made, except for Three Little Pirates which is salvaged by the "Maha -
Aha!" routine)
Best Shemp: The Tooth Will Out (the energy in that dentist-chair scene
is phenomenal)
Worst Shemp: Cuckoo on the Choo Choo (what other choice is there?)
I don't consider the Besser and deRita films to be true Three Stooges
pictures. Besser was a funny man, and some of his films have their
moments, but it's not the same act. I find no redeeming value in
anything Joe DeRita ever did.

Funny, Larry seemed quite lively during this picture to me. I thought he was
putting more of an effort in than Moe & Curly Joe. I hope that didn't play a
part in his stroe.
My favorite line is an ad-lib by someoen in a crowd of tourists looking at the
Stooges: "He's a big 'un, ain't he?"
You don't get diabetes by having a fat man fall on you!!! Larry fell off a
chariot during the shoot of "Hercules" and during the medical examination it
was discovered that he had the disease.
LOL!!
