The reason I ask, is I believe I've seen some scenes where Emil Sitka towers
over the other Stooges -- but I've also seen others where they are of equal
height.

I don't have my reference book in front of me at the moment so I can't
tell you the exact height of each man, but I know that they ranged in
height from 5'3" to 5'6".

Before you buy.
Amusingly enough, people who looked really huge in the films, like Duke York,
were likely smaller than I am, or about the same size. And I consider myself
of fairly average height.

Your Czar
"Watch your thoughts, they may become your ideas. Watch your ideas, they may
become your words. Watch your words, they may become your actions. Watch your
actions, it become your destiny!"
I thought Ted Healy was a giant of a man until I saw him in the 1934 "Mad Love"
and realized he was only average.
I always thought that their height worked to comedic advantage, since even
villains of normal height seemed to tower over them. Hell, evem Christine
McIntyre looked a head taller than them, but that's because she wore high
heels.
(Reminds me of an old line: "Ginger Rogers doesn't get enough credit.
Remember, she had to do everything Fred Astaire did, except backwards and in
high heels....")
