Dear Group,
we live in the UK. This is just as a matter of interest, but today we
purchased a teddy bear in a charity shop for the grand sum of 1.29GBP. He looks
to be a 1950's to 1970's type bear. He is an English bear, his label say's
Nylena Toy Co., UK.

He appears to have dark honey-blond nylon fur and is fully jointed and stands 20
inches tall. He is in excellent condition, and as a bonus he does a teddy bear
'cry/growl' when you turn him over.

We are not really interested in his monetary value, just if anyone knew anything
of his history.
We would be grateful for any information.
thank you

Al and Anne Lindsay

ps his name is Mr Ted

Hi guys, my sister and myself had these bears. I still have mine. His name is marp. As when he tips he marrpppsss. I was under the impression when we were little that our great aunties who brought these for us had to collect stamps at the co- operative (co-op) in the 70's.

Stitched nose & mouth and velvet pads on his feet and hands. Also brown glass eyes.

Maggie ;)
