Hi all
is there a set way to work out the value of a stamp?
A collection of German stamps has come into my hand and i am trying to
work out what they are worth .
Do you look at the catalogue S.G and that is the true cost ? or is there
a formuler e.g 1/2 catalogue price 1/3 cataloge price?
please help any information would be great.

Simplest way is to go to eBay and search for German stamps.
See if the pictures match any of your stamps.
When you get a match
look if it's in a store or fixed price.
It it's an auction take note of the catalog name and number.
Go to Completed listings
and enter the details
you'll see if a similar item has been sold and for how much.
