United Nations Brings Australia to ROPEX’99

The Rochester Philatelic Association is pleased to welcome the United
Nations Postal Administration to ROPEX’99, the area’s annual national World
Series of Philately stamp show, scheduled for March 19-21.

Of special note is the issuance of a new set of UNPA stamps and a prestige
book honoring “World Heritage- Australia.” A first day ceremony will be
open to the public and held before the show’s opening on Friday, March 19.
The UNPA will have its entire line of philatelic stamps and products
available throughout the show. In addition, unique cacheted covers and a
show card are being created honoring Rochester as host city. Cooperative
activities are also planned with the RPA’s sister stamp club, the Salisbury
Philatelic Society of South Australia.

The site of ROPEX’99 is the Diplomat Banquet Center, easily within five
minutes of the airport or city. Admission and parking is free. Over 35
dealers as well as the US Postal Service will offer something for everyone’s
interests and budget. A 240 frame exhibit is expected to fill in record
time.
