Does anyone know the type of pen Princess Diana used in writing notes to
others? In the notes written by her that were shown on TV, in magazines,
it appears to write in thick, bold lines and the ink is black. I have not
seen the pen used and I have no other information. Any information would
be appreciated.

Thank you.

I recall reading an article that mentioned that she used a Sheaffer Prelude.
Whether a ball pen, roller ball, or fountain pen, I don't recall.

I believe that Princess Diana was very fond of the color Purple for ink.  Have you heard anything regarding this tidbit?

Well in 1981 Parker made a Lady Di/Prince Charles Limited Edition Royal Wedding
FP. So I assume that up until the split so would have favored that pen. It
was a GP Bark Finish Parker 105 Model that was specially engraved and numbered
to commenerate the Wedding. A standard Parker 105 was made for a few years--so
the basis FP is available then in the LE version and the Standard (Non-Limited
Edition) version
The LE Version is valued today slightly over $1000. I have a few of the
Standard Versions of the GP Bark Finish Parker 105s and they sell in the
$500-700 range. BILL (WRWE...@AOL.COM)
