I have a used Wearever I bought for $5.00 a few weekends ago. It is
black with a brushed metal cap and a small brushed metal piece on the
end. Also a very narrow brushed metal ring where the nib screws into
the body. The nib is kind of like a Parker 51, that is it is not
completely exposed.
It came with an official Wearever cartridge, marked No. 90WB Washable
blue. It was empty but still wet inside. I cleaned the pen and
refilled the cartridge with black ink and it writes very nice, a tad to
large for my taste. Must be a med nib. But it is a nice pen and is
very comfortable to write with.
What I would like to know is, is there a way to tell how old the pen is
and what it is? Any websites that talk about Wearever fountain pens?
Also, where can I get cartridges or a converter for it? The hole in the
cartridge is larger than most I have seen, if that helps. As long as
this cartridge stays affixed to the pen, I can keep filling it and use
it. But eventually, I will need more cartridges or a filler.
Thank you and I appreciate any help I can get.

Hi James.
I don't know much about these pens at all but here are a couple of
resources:
another Jim M. page:
http://www.penhero.com/PenGallery/Wearever/Wearever.htm
Dennis Lively's page:
http://virtualinfamy.com/penden/
or a direct link to his Wearever collection which is substantial.
http://virtualinfamy.com/penden/wearever.html
and here is a thread in FPN that you might find interesting.
