Tech Help: AY100U w/TSU3 Selector - Circuit Operation Question

Hi Guys,
Been working on my project machine and found resistor R510 not
connected in the circuit. It was either cut by accident or the wire
just broke. This resistor is installed between the grid 1 [pin 5 of
the 2050] and the output (I think) of the 12AX7 pulse amp. I'm fairly
good at diagnosing solid state circuits but tubes are new to me. What
I'd like to ask you tube circuit specialists is: If this resistor is
out of the circuit, would the 2050 tube never fire or would it
continually fire? Thanks for any help you can give me.
