Hi Ed,

Thanks for writing and giving me some leads on parts etc.

Melting in a fire eh? I thought I'd grabbed a good box. I can't compare
it with other jukes, but what I can see of it looks well designed and
well made. The sound should be better than some earlier boxes, and
the needle will track without too much weight on the vinyl.

We have a Bob Nelson Gameroom show an hours drive away next
weekend. There will be some jukebox folks there. Might be able to
get a parts manual there. If not, I'd be happy to send you some bucks
to copy the schematics. Appreciate it!

I've been wielding a soldering iron since I was 11and would rather fix
it myself if I can. It seemed strange not to get a schematic in the
service manual. A closer reading shows that there is a "Wiring Diagram"
#54015 and a "Parts Catalog" #54014 for this model.

Two cartons of 60's and 70's manuals were given away to a juke-box
collecting friend some years ago. I still have a Rowe R-74 manual
to contribute toward a trade if there is any interest.

Does anyone know if that pre-amp chip "RA7836" is readily available?

Thanks again,

Dave Hollister

Here ,Here!!!
I congratulate you on your first (of many) jukes!
Screw the purists!
My first was a Wurl. 3000. Paid $100.00 for it AS-IS in 1983.
Doctor Frankenstein has got nothin' on me after bringing that box back from
the dead!
Before you know it you will have a gameroom full of classics!

I probably wouldn't have made that crack about jukebox
purists, except... I'd bought the box on the day before the
Allentown pinball show. Talked to several juke collecting
guys there that I know. Their eyes lit up when I told them I
just bought my first box. Their faces fell when I told them
what I had bought. Zero enthusiasm shown for newer stuff.

Keith, 100 bucks!, you paid too much! ;-). Great sig btw.

Regarding the "first (of many) jukes!", Hmm, this box only holds
80 records. I've already got enough records to fill maybe four
more jukes... More if I want to use up those Milli Vanilli disks.

I used to tell my wife that I needed enough jukes to hold all of my 45's.
Then one day I came home with over 50,000 (not a typing error) 45's. I
bought out the records and parts from an old juke operator. It was then that
she realized that it was never gonna stop, and that she had been thrust into
the seedy, shameful world of...

JUKEBOX MADNESS !!!!!!!!!

Thank God for ebay. I sold the records off in unsorted box lots. It was
either that or shingle the roof with them.
