I am hoping to get help from the experts here in the group.
I am new here but am a regular in the pinball group.

The NSM Juke I'm inquiring about will not play a record

It accepts credits and initiates the play sequence. As soon as the
carriage moves away from its rest position the transport motor stops.
Holding on the reject button enguages the relay and starts the motor so
it will complete its sequence and reject the record and return to rest.
If I manully spin the motor the carriage moves and selects the record.
It will then complete the play sequence on its own but as soon as the
motor os required to move the carriage again..nothing. What is supposed
to be enabling this motor that is not working?
We had sent the control module away for repair to Laniel Automatique in
Montreal Quebec. They charged 300 bucks and said it was fixed. Is it? or
is this something else? All voltages are present. I did not check for
ripple. I have only two schematics. One of the amplifier and one of the
control module.(same page double sided) is there a drawing of the
interboard wireing? I would like to see the relay system etc.
Another thing to note is that the muting circuit is not working
correctly as well. When power is applied to the machine, there is a
horrible buzzing that stops when a selectio is made. I'm sure there is a
power supply filtering problem.
Are these related?

I hope this is clear. PLease don't hesitate to ask for clarification. I
am not experienced in Jukes. It is a friends and he asked me to look at
it for him. I played with it for a few hours so I familiarized myself
with its guts.
All help is greatly appreciated.

Oh (hand up) I know this one...welll at least if I had the schematic
in front of me I would know exactly where to look, but I've seen that
problem in the past (like ten years ago) with NSM, and it is often
related to either the carriage main cam, or the scan switch. Need to
check my schematics on Tuesday when back at the shop. This is not a
serious problem AFAIR. We also have schematics for this model and, AIR
the service procedure book as well. Contact us Tuesday @
pa...@flippers.com for pricing and availability-John Caspell, my parts
guy, will be happy to help you.

PS. Are you going to see Pierre? I'll certainly miss him.

Great thanks John,
I have the book. I am guessing I'm missing a schematic.
Where is the scan switch? I did notice a manual switch labeled scan but
it doesn't seem to do anything.
The cam may be OK (my guess) as it seems to work fine when the reject
button is held, unless this cam is the culprit that is supposed to hold
some other switch.??

I'll try you tomorrow. Thanks for the help.
There is a small few who carry most of the weight. You are also a
champion in the Pinball group. Thanks again.

Hi! The problem is theBS switch(operating switch)
located below the motors on the carriage.
This switch is in parallel with the reject switch and
is definitely the problem!

there is a small cherry type switch mounted on the right side of the
mech check to see if its loose or mispositioned(loosen screws readjust
retry) also possible that the block resistor in the amplifier board has
a broken solder joint it used to be common when this switch went bad to
overheat(resistor)and become intermittent

That would be very cool.
What is the easiest way to get at it.
do I take the from glass off the machine or romove the bolts and lift
the carriage?

Do you meant he micro switch that is open when the carriage is in the
rest position?

Does anybody have the drawing of the wiring of the carriage? Oh yeah,
and can send it?

Thanks for all your help.
