I've got a Peace bear that looks like a pastel. I held it up next to one with
a 102 on the inside of the tush tag and it looks like the same muted colors,
but this one has a 101 stamped inside. Is this a Pastel?
Thanks for your help.

Hmmm, I would think that color would be the dispositive indicator of a Pastel
Peace, i.e., "whitewashed"--regardless of the # on the tush tag. BTW, there
are unnumbered Indonesian Pastel Peace bears (as well as unnumbered Indonesian
beanies in general).
I've seen some new Peaces that look pastel but they have tag
numbers'like 112,115, or 116. These are the ones that Ty is still
making. The thing that makes the 101 and 102 more valuable is the fact
that they were only made for a short time last summer. Therefore there
aren't millions of them out there.

Only one is what I would consider to be the "pastel". The other is dark colors.
Actually - this is the first beanie bear I bought come to think of it!! Debbie
