I'm doing my own painting for my sports bar. The guy down at Home
Depot says I'll need a primer, a base coat, and then put the faux
finish on.

Does anyone know of a good site that gives in depth instruction on
faux?

Thanks in advance.

There are good videos out there, I think that Home Depot even has
classes... check it out.. you got to get dirty to make it work. What
kind of faux finish are you thinking about? There are about a million
to choose from.

Jak,

Here are some sites that might interest you:

http://www.fauxlikeapro.com/
http://www.commercial-directory.com/faux/
http://www.fauxfinishingshoppe.com/

.. and I recommend a book that I have that gives some basic steps to
faux creations (i.e. wood graining, marbling, sponge effects, rag
effects, etc.) called "Designer's Guide to Surfaces and Finishes" ... by
Penny Radford.

Hope this helps,

Cheers!

Aaron
